IVWATCH™ medical device is equipped with biosensor technology and is endowed with a continuous monitoring on the EV site, with immediate detection of infiltration and extravasation (grade 4), for a prompt diagnosis;

The device helps increase the effectiveness of intravenous therapy to improve the safety of patients and minimize any damage.

ivWatch™

Benefits of ivWatch include:

  • Tissue analysis near the intravenous site using an optical sensor monitoring device;
  • The sensor uses visible and near-infrared light to detect changes in the optical properties of tissue near the intravenous insertion site;
  • Any changing to the properties of the tissue, infiltration index or sprain are reported and displayed on the patient’s monitor;
  • Signalling is made of visual and audible alarms for easy identification by health care personnel;
  • Possibility of documenting the course of intravenous administration during monitoring, directly from the monitor;
  • Intravenous evaluation data can be collected with EMR systems in electronic medical format via integration with the ivWatch Model 400™.
